Cesarean Scar Release Therapy

Health Canada approved treatment for cesarean scars

Microcurrent Point Stimulation (MPS) Therapy, treatment for cesarean scar release and pain relief

Benefits

This incredibly healing treatment:

  • Speeds up the healing process of the scar
  • Decreases pain in the connective tissue
  • Helps to relax and fade scar tissue

The Dolphin Neurostim™ is an innovative technology used to quickly and effectively release cesarean scar tissue postpartum and decrease pain.

How Scar Release Therapy Works

The technique involves the simultaneous application of a safe low level electrical impulse to each side of the cesarean scar. The micro-current helps to relax and fade scar tissue, which can impede the functioning of muscles, fascia, and cause pain.

This speeds up the healing process by reducing restrictions and adhesions in the connective tissue. This physical healing allows mamas to return to/continue with lifting, walking, exercise and taking care of baby with less discomfort.

The number of sessions is determined by the depth and healing capacity of the scar, and your registered practitioner will be able to further guide you regarding this during the appointment.

Your Cesarean Scar Healing

The intention behind MPS cesarean section scar release therapy is to reduce adhesions and restrictions, increase circulation and reduce pain. Your increased mobility and comfort as a result of this therapy will enhance your capacity to take the best care of your baby and family.

Delivering your baby via caesarean section comes with extra considerations and awareness around your healing. Abdominal surgery requires extra time for your body to recover.

You are encouraged to rest, focus on bonding with baby, and follow their healthcare practitioner’s advice around post healing care. After six weeks we welcome you to book a 60 minute initial assessment and treatment. During this appointment your practitioner will review your health history, provide an assessment and a scar tissue release therapy treatment.
